Meet Your Board Member: Phillip Jackson

Phillip joined the WCOWMA-BC Board at the 2019 AGM in Nanaimo, BC. He currently lives in Bonnington, BC.

When I was a boy, I never dreamed I would pursue a career in sewage (how awful), but here I am decades later doing just that, with enthusiasm.

It started with a BCIT course in Private Sewage Disposal Systems in 1977 and my fate was sealed. After graduating in Environmental Health, I worked as a provincial inspector in Kamloops, Prince George, Fort St. John and Nelson until 2007. I am fortunate to have been able to experience British Columbia’s soils and climates from north to south. I have been a ROWP (Planner/Installer) since 2005. My work these days is mostly in Planning and subdivisions.

I am a strong believer in helping each other to gain knowledge and experience. I believe WCOWMA is the best venue for this. I look forward to serving on the board.
