The Registered Onsite Wastewater (ROWP) program currently has 482 certified members. New applications for initial certification continue at a steady pace. In January to August 2017 there have been 17 applicants approved under provisions of inter-provincial trade regulations, and 11 other applications received with approval pending. Staff had been providing extensive support to applicants to clarify certification requirements and improve the quality of submissions.

Practice Assessment Reviews are underway for 25 members and 43 have been completed. Approximately 30% were found to be practicing substantially in compliance with requirements, 53% improvement needed, 17% not practicing within expectations.
